Advanced Ruby on Rails Bootcamp taught by Charles Brian Quinn is offered for the first time August 25-29, 2008. The intensive five-day class is held at the distraction-free setting of Kloster Eberbach near Frankfurt, Germany. Ruby on Rails has obtained a tremendous popularity among Web developers in recent years and with its robust framework, is the basis of many real-world applications all over the Web. Advanced Ruby on Rails Bootcamp is for developers who like to bring their Ruby on Rails skills to the next level and beyond.
Participants save Euro 200 when signing up before July 18, 2008.
For best results, students should have a basic understanding of Ruby and Ruby on Rails, have done some development, produced a Ruby on Rails application or worked on one in a team. Advanced Ruby on Rails Bootcamp is the ideal continuation for students of our basic Ruby and Rails Bootcamp, who have done some development in the meantime and are eager to learn what's beyond.
Students are encouraged to bring their own projects to class. Former students loved the "late night coding sessions with Charles". His extensive knowledge of Ruby on Rails allows him to customize the course to our students needs and speak on topics that may not even be in the outline.
The bootcamp is a five-day, exhaustive examination of advanced aspects of Ruby development on the Rails framework necessary to producing Ruby on Rails rockstars. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced Ruby: Arguments, Hashes/Arrays in Depth, Metaprogramming, ActiveSupport
